When a Vet married a Farmer the idea of Wendlebury Walkies followed after. We understand the importance of having a safe and stimulating environment to exercise your dog in. There was an opportunity to open up this tranquil spot on our beautiful farm to allow others to enjoy this space in a relaxing and safe way.
Our secure dog walking field is more than just a fenced area for your furry friend to frolic. It's a place to meet friends and walk or talk whilst enjoying the countryside views and open space. We have specifically designed the dog field to meet the highest standards of safety, comfort and enjoyment for both dogs and their owners.
We have divided our large 4 acre field into two individual fields. Each field is entirely secure and separate from the other with a complete 6ft visual and physical barrier between the two. Both fields are set up almost identically and have their own gate, entrance, secure carpark, shelter and seating. The dog(s) cannot see anything in the next field.
By having two fields to use we hope this will create more flexibility with the ability to rest one side if it is too muddy or requires maintenance. It also means at busy times we can accommodate everyone's walking preference.
PLEASE NOTE MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS ONLY ONE FIELD IS OPEN - these days may be more suitable for more reactive dogs.
Please contact us directly for more information.
Each field has an enclosed secure carpark in which to safely unload your dog(s). The stoned area leads straight to the field shelter designed to provide refuge from any adverse weather. There is inside and outside seating and we have tried to make the facility easy to use for those with mobility issues.
In addition, each paddock has a fresh water supply and we have provided a poo bin and bags for your convenience. In the warmer months we have a splash pool for your dog(s) to enjoy, it is fitted with a removable lid for those that don't want to use.
The fields contain natural and man made obstacles to provide enrichment and photo opportunities !
CCTV cameras will be in operation to ensure the safety of all our customers and compliance to park rules should an issue arrive.
If you have any concerns about the set up of the fields or would like pre booking visit, please do not hesitate to contact me and i will try and accomodate your specific needs.
